Had a great time at the Oppo meet. Here are a bunch of the pics I took throughout the day.
Ready to head out.
I stopped along the way to take a few pictures. It was an amazing drive out there. My chosen route avoided highways and busy roads. Had a nice 20 mile stretch of windy state preserve road. Saw maybe 5 cars tops on this bit of road.
Made it to the meetup location, and there is a suspicious looking white Prelude parked behind me. I proceed to wait in my car until a black Mercedes SUV pulls up next to the Prelude. Either they're here for the meet or I'm witnessing a drug deal. Turns out to be Matthias and Mountain Command.
OMG DELOREAN!!!! Jealous Meter can't even read these levels of jealousy. You need to post video of your car. It sounds like an old 50's or 60's race car.
Definitely a drug deal.
We then take a cruise along a beautiful stretch of road. Makes me wish I'd taken my GTI instead. I try to stay near the back of the pack so I don't hold anyone up. "Wait for me guise!"
Some kid in a Buick had showed up at one point driving like a jackass. Luckily he left shortly after.
Some beautiful scenery. The nicest area of NJ I've ever been. Being so close to PA, I'm giving my state some of the credit for this beauty. It must have rubbed off on NJ.
Then we head to High Point State Park. Which one (not me) would surmise is at the top of a steep hill. It took all of my 65hp to get up that hill. Thanks for waiting when I got stuck at the light Matthias.
One might also surmise, that on a gloomy day, atop a hill, it will be the foggiest fog that ever fogged. They would be correct.
Alright, everyone park in a half circle.
We suck at this. Try again.
The fuck? Is that that Buick again? How the hell did he find us up here? I don't even....
We head off for a cooking area. The Buick speeds away into the fog never to be seen again.
Separating frozen burgers is a two man operation.
Trying to keep warm.
Goddamn it was creepy up there. Especially when you're one of two people with out a gigantic knife.
Shortly after Bigbossyboss shows up from frickin Canada, we're kicked out of the park. A good time was had by all though.
Thanks for organizing this Mountain Command, it was a blast.

Yeah, I think he thought we were a bunch of racers. He just magically showed up later and parked in our circle, and then tore out of there.

Thanks for posting pics so fast. It was great meeting you especially someone who appreciates a fine Mercedes diesel.
Unfortunately I really don't have any video of the car in action. I guess I will have to splurge on a GoPro in the future.
